Yeah, the large GIF animations are not supported because some people were uploading large gifs that were several megabytes in size. This makes loading of pages slower and overall is not very useful. If you want to post a movie, you can upload it to youtube and then post it on the forum here. If you want to upload animated gifs, make sure they are quite small in size.
